The attempts to intimidate, manipulate, and subjugate humanity are now rapidly escalating. These unscrupulous attempts by those wolves in sheep’s clothing who are seeking to enslave us in the name of protecting us constitute our wake-up call. Let us therefore awaken to the fact that how we experience the events in our lives is determined, not so much by what happens, as by how we choose to respond to what happens.
More than ever, life in this polarized world of labyrinthic illusion is a choice between fear and love. Those who choose to respond with fear and vengeance will perish, whereas those who choose to respond with love and forgiveness will prosper.
Therefore, choose love.

Dear Editor:
On October 26, George Bush II signed the "USA Patriot Act" known as HR3162, which explicitly violates key aspects of our Constitution in the name of national security. After reviewing HR3162, Congressman Ron Paul (R-Texas), commented: "Our forefathers would think it’s time for a revolution. This is why they revolted in the first place."
Then, on November 13, in blatant violation of our Constitution, George Bush II signed an executive order authorizing secret military trials and executions for anyone in the United States who is not a U.S. Citizen, so long as it is done in the name of "national security." This ominous inauguration of naked fascism may well constitute grounds for impeachment.
Our current situation in America is comparable to that which confronted the people of Nazi Germany shortly before it became a police state in 1936.

Dear Editor:
When the supreme exemplar of love came into this world two thousand years ago, the Jewish high priest Caiaphas and the Roman procurator Pontius Pilate set a reverse example by killing him in the name of God. The question is: which of these examples are we choosing to follow?
In 1095 AD, Pope Urban II initiated the Crusades which killed Palestinian Muslims in the name of God, and in 1209 AD, Pope Innocent III initiated the Albigensian Crusade for the purpose of killing the Cathar Christians in the name of God.
During this Christmas Season of 2001, not only is Osama bin Laden urging his Muslim Taliban followers to kill George Bush and his Christian American followers in the name of God, but George Bush is likewise urging his Christian American followers to kill Osama bin Laden and his Muslim Taliban followers in the name of God.
Having thus made the choice to kill love in the name of God, our anticivilization civilization is now in the process of writing its epitaph.

Dear Editor:
We are now at pivotal point. Our situation is comparable to that of Nazi Germany in 1939, when the German people allowed Adolf Hitler to persuade them that it was in their best interest to begin attacking other nations.
This is the simple truth beneath all of the propaganda, justifications, rationalizations, and excuses.
As always, we must choose whether we are going to be governed by fear or by love. And the moral of the story is that those who fail to learn the lessons which history teaches are doomed to repeat them.

Dear Editor:
In a letter to the Herald published 5 December 2001, six weeks after George Bush II violated our Constitution in the name of national security by signing HR 3162 (mislabeled the Patriot Act), I warned that our situation was comparable to Nazi Germany shortly before it was transformed into a fascist police state in 1936.
Betrayed by an illegitimate federal government which seeks to enslave us in the guise of protecting us, We the People of this beloved nation are now turning to our local governments and asking our city councils to enact resolutions opposing the imminent invasion of Iraq, whose oil fields have made it one of the few nations in the world not bankrupted by the international bankers during this past century.
When such a resolution was introduced by Councilman Tim Stearns on 27 January 2003, our City Council violated proper parliamentary procedure according to Robert’s Rules of Order by voting to reject the resolution on the grounds that it would be divisive to our community and was beyond the Council’s jurisdiction.
Only then was the large group of local citizens attending allowed to express their views in a public hearing. As I declared when my turn came: "The American Dream is now in the process of turning into the American Nightmare, which means that it is time for the American people to wake up."
What the majority of our City Council do not seem to realize is that the imminent invasion of Iraq will be a thousand times more divisive to our community than a resolution opposing such disastrously provocative action.
Our situation is now comparable to the state of affairs in Nazi Germany just before Adolf Hitler instigated the Second World War in 1939. For confirmation, see the January issue of The Nation, and www.moveon.org

Dear Editor:
We The People are on the march again. And as we spontaneously join together in common cause, it is imperative that we be clear about why we are marching, so that how we march is determined by what we are marching for, rather than by what we are marching against.
Simply stated, we are marching for the same basic reasons which caused us to march on Washington over thirty years ago: to stop an insane war and to restore constitutional government.
To be precise, we are on the march again for the fundamental purpose of fulfilling our primary responsibility as American citizens, which is to see to it that our federal government functions as the obedient servant of We The People by obeying rather than violating the Constitution which our Founding Fathers established as sacred guidelines for our beloved nation.
If, in the name of national security, the government violates our Constitution by attempting to intimidate, subjugate, or enslave its citizens while pretending to protect them, then it has betrayed our trust and is no longer legitimate.
As clearly stated in our Declaration of Independence, We The People then have the sacred responsibility to withdraw our consent from such an illegitimate government and to replace that impostor with a legitimate government of the people, by the people, and for the people.
We intend to create a peaceful world, based on respect and cooperation, with liberty and justice for all. If a renegade United States government acts contrary to our intention, then we must fulfill our sacred responsibility as American citizens by taking corrective action.
Peace is our goal. Restoration of constitutional government is our means. Let us march peacefully and lovingly in the joyful confidence that our cause is just and that the will of We The People shall prevail.

Like myriad sunbeams radiating out into the darkness before returning home to our source, we all have a fundamental choice.
We can disacknowledge our source by looking outward into the darkness, which gives rise to the illusion that we are all separate from one another, or we can acknowledge our source by looking inward into the light, which gives rise to the realization that we are all connected with one another.
When I use my mind to look outward into the darkness of separation consciousness, I experience the world of illusion, which is characterized by fear, hate, war, and subjugation.
When I use my heart to look inward into the light of unity consciousness, I experience the reality of God, which is characterized by love, joy, peace, and freedom.
My experience thus becomes polarized into what appear to be antithetical opposites.
The key to mastery is to realize that these seeming opposites are actually complements.
This realization enables me to embrace both polarities without judgment so as to merge them into wholeness simply by acknowledging that I am all of it.
Once I have made this empowering choice, it then becomes clear that the world of illusion, which I experience through my senses, is analogous to the reverse mirror image which I see when I gaze into a looking glass.

Dear Editor:
We are living in a world of illusion where the human mind inevitably loses its way within the labyrinth of separation consciousness, thereby causing unenlightened humanity to engage in horrendous self-destructive atrocities which have the effect of turning our dreams into nightmares that force us to wake up to the remembrance of who we really are.
Thus, even as the old world of unenlightened humanity is dying of corruption and decadence in the third dimension of separation consciousness, a whole new world of enlightened humanity is now in the process of being born in the fourth dimension of unity consciousness.
Now is the time to make your choice as to which world you are going to participate in: the unenlightened third-dimensional world of the mind, which is characterized by fear, anger, competition, war, and subjugation or the enlightened fourth-dimensional world of the heart, which is characterized by love, joy, cooperation, peace, and freedom.
The key to making the transition from the third dimension of separation consciousness in the mind to the fourth dimension of unity consciousness in the heart is simply to relax your mind and to open your heart so that you are no longer identifying with your mind but are instead choosing to place your mind in the service of your heart so as to come into alignment with the source of your being.
Anyone who is still feeling lost in the labyrinth of unenlightened separation consciousness is hereby encouraged to read "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle.

Dear Editor:
Human history is essentially a contest between builders of civilization and destroyers of civilization.
For example, in ancient Egypt, shortly after Akhenaten introduced his enlightened teachings around 1350 BC, they were eradicated by the Egyptian priesthood.
In ancient Israel, shortly after Moses introduced his enlightened teachings around 1300 BC, they were perverted by the Aaronic priesthood.
In ancient Persia, shortly after Zarathustra introduced his enlightened teachings around 600 BC, they were corrupted by the Persian priesthood.
Similarly, less than 300 years after Jesus introduced his enlightened teachings around 28 AD, they were subverted by the Nicene Council in 325 AD.
In modern times, just 124 years after our Founding Fathers established the United States of America in 1789, it was subverted by the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 and then declared bankrupt by the Emergency Banking Act of 1933.
The essential difference between builders and destroyers consists in the curious fact that, whereas destroyers of civilization practice fraudulent deception and coercive force, builders of civilization renounce fraudulent deception and coercive force.
It thus becomes clear that civilization, correctly defined, consists in the voluntary renunciation of fraudulent deception and coercive force.
Hence, by definition, builders are civilized human beings and destroyers are uncivilized human beings.
Whereas builders acknowledge and align to the source of their being, destroyers do not acknowledge or align to the source of their being.
Whereas builders live in their hearts and know that we are all connected with one another, destroyers live in their minds and believe that we are all separate from one another.
Whereas builders pursue the positive path of love, joy, gratitude, cooperation, peace, and freedom, destroyers pursue the negative path of fear, anger, grievance, competition, war, and subjugation.
Whereas builders love, honor, and speak the truth, destroyers fear, hate, and pervert the truth.

Dear Editor:
Are the American people in danger of forgetting the true significance of the Fourth of July? There is reason to believe that this may indeed be the case.
For example, our Mount Shasta Herald for 2 July 2003 contained ample information regarding the fireworks, the parade, and the mountain runners, but made no reference whatever to the fact that our Declaration of Independence, our Constitution, and particularly our Bill of Rights are currently under attack from unconstitutional legislation such as the Patriot Act of 2001 and the proposed Domestic Security Enhancement Act, which if pushed through Congress in response to another terrorist attack comparable to 11 September 2001, could transform our nation into a fascist police state.
However, as reported by the Herald on June 4 and June 25, the concerned citizens of our community have formed an ad hoc committee after our town hall meeting with ACLU adviser Sanjeev Bery on June 1 for the purpose of petitioning our City Council to pass a resolution of non-compliance with the Patriot Act, such as has already been passed by three states (Vermont, Alaska, and Hawaii) and over 130 municipalities in 25 states representing over 16 million patriotic Americans throughout our nation.
At our second meeting on June 24, the Bill of Rights Committee of Mount Shasta, composed of 12 volunteer citizens, approved a proposed Resolution to Protect Civil Liberties, similar to that recently passed by the City Council of nearby Ashland.
Let it be known that our Mayor Audra Gibson has invited our Committee Chairman Donald Nobach to attend the next meeting of our City Council on July 14 for the purpose of submitting a petition signed by well over 300 local residents to place our proposed resolution on the agenda for action at the subsequent meeting on July 28.

Dear Editor:
Truth is either loved or feared. As I observed at our town hall meeting on June 1st, every moment of life is a choice between a positive love-based orientation and a negative fear-based orientation.
What we are currently witnessing is a polarization of our society in which patriotic citizens who love our Constitution because it guarantees liberty and justice for all find themselves challenged by fear-based dissidents who advocate a New World Order in the form of a global fascist police state.
The view of current events provided by our free press, which is very different from that promulgated by the controlled media, may be summarized as follows. With the mindless consent of the American people, who continue to pay their taxes, the Bush Administration is currently wrecking political and economic havoc in the United States and throughout the world in an all-out effort to establish a New World Order comparable to the global fascist police state foreseen by George Orwell in his book titled 1984.
Those of us who are awake and aware and old enough to remember the farewell address of President Eisenhower recognize that this is precisely what he was anticipating when Eisenhower warned us to beware of the military-industrial complex.
According to our Declaration of Independence, the federal government is legitimate so long as it functions as a loyal servant of We the People by obeying our Constitution and speaking the truth, but is no longer legitimate when it violates our Constitution by using fraudulent deception and coercive force to subjugate its citizens.
The question that we need to ask ourselves at this point is: are we going to allow the land of the free and the home of the brave to be transformed into the home of the cowardly and the land of the enslaved?

Dear Editor:
We are living in a world of illusion where deception is the name of the game and discernment is the essence of the wisdom which we gradually acquire through the process of making our choices and experiencing the consequences.
First, we deceive ourselves by identifying with our mental, emotional, and physical bodies, thereby preventing ourselves from realizing our true identities as unlimited spiritual beings.
Next, we allow our religions to deceive us into believing that we are helpless creatures, thereby preventing ourselves from realizing our true natures as powerful co-creators.
Then, we allow our schools to deceive us into believing that we are ignorant and stupid, thereby causing us to give our power away to so-called experts and authorities instead of learning to think for ourselves and to question authority.
Next, we allow our governments to deceive us into believing that they are protecting and serving us even as they proceed to subjugate and enslave us by means of increasing regulation and escalating taxation.
Then, we allow our bankers to deceive us into permitting them to control our money systems, thereby giving them permission to rob us blind by means of fiat money, debt creation, usury, inflation, depression, foreclosure, and bankruptcy.
Finally, we allow the controlled media to deceive us into believing that the false information they are feeding us is true information, which has the effect of transforming our increasingly confused world into an insane Alice-In-Wonderland nightmare.
Last but not least, we deceive ourselves into believing that we are justified in judging and condemning all those who have deceived us, until we finally wake up to the realization that it is through our judgments that we unwittingly imprison our minds and that it is only through forgiveness that we can ultimately liberate ourselves from our self-created mental prisons.

Dear Editor:
During this past century, the American Dream has gradually become transformed into the American Nightmare.
Those of us who are awake know that this transmogrification of America has been deliberate rather than accidental.
Those of us who are asleep have yet to understand the ancient proverb: "When your dream turns into a nightmare, that means it is time to wake up."
The terrorist attack on 11 September 2001 constitutes a crucial wake-up call for those who are still asleep. However, the vast majority of the American people have yet to comprehend the significance of this pivotal event, which portends the end of our world as we have known it.
If you really want to wake up, you can begin to respond to this wake-up call by first watching the documentary video "Painful Deceptions" by Eric Hufschmid (which can be obtained in either VHS or DVD format by sending a check or money order for $15 to Eric Hufschmid, 7338 Greensboro Street, Goleta, CA 93117) and then reading the booklet "9/11: The Great Illusion" by George Humphrey (which can be obtained by sending a check or money order for $3.50 to Common Sense, P.O. Box 5772, Austin, TX 78763).
If you are still wondering what you can do to make a real difference in this world, the answer is that you can first make the choice to wake up and then make the choice to help others wake up.
If you choose to awaken, it will cost you $18.50. However, if you prefer to remain asleep, then be prepared to pay for that choice with your life.
We are living in a world of illusion where deception is the name of the game.
Therefore, if you don’t want to get lost in the labyrinth, DO NOT BE DECEIVED BY APPEARANCES.

Dear Editor:
Humanity now finds itself confronted with three different scenarios, all occurring simultaneously. First, economic enslavement, as planned by the global elite. Second, ecological suicide, as predicted by our scientific community. And third, planetary ascension, as prophesied by higher consciousness.
During these past two centuries, the international bankers have instigated and financed an endless series of wars, thereby bankrupting virtually every nation in the world, including the United States. Having won this ruthless game of Monopoly, the global elite are now on the verge of completing their agenda for enslaving humanity in the guise of protecting humanity by establishing a totalitarian New World Order.
During the past decade, however, our scientific community has issued a series of public warnings that humanity is currently in the process of committing ecological suicide by unwittingly pursuing a course of action which is unsustainable and that worldwide disaster is imminent unless we immediately undertake a radical reorientation. (E.g., World Scientists’ Warning to Humanity, 1992.)
We have now reached a pivotal point in human history where the third scenario appears to offer the only viable solution to humanity’s plight: namely, planetary ascension from the third dimension of consciousness, which is already in the process of dying, to the fourth dimension of consciousness, which is even now in the process of being born.
According to several trustworthy sources, this planetary ascension process began in 1987 and will be completed in 2012 (The Ra Material, 33-35, 93; The Mayan Calendar, Arguelles; Earth’s Birth Changes, Saint Germain, Chapters 4-6).
The implication is that we are currently in the midst of humanity’s final examination prior to graduation. Since life is always a choice between love and fear, this means those choosing love may experience a harmonious graduation, whereas those choosing fear will be required to repeat the third grade elsewhere.

Dear Editor:
We are living in an Alice-in-Wonderland world where deception is the name
of the game being played by the psychopathic global elite, who announced the
beginning of their deadly endgame via 9/11.
Discernment and courage are therefore the only way to avoid being deceived by
appearances and paralyzed by fear.
Whereas some disloyal Americans who have chosen to betray our Constitution are
attempting to bury the truth beneath an avalanche of lies, other Americans loyal
to our Constitution are courageously seeking to expose those lies by revealing
the truth.
A supreme exemplar of the discernment, courage, and determination currently
required is Michael Ruppert who
has been investigating the 9/11 homicide from its outset and who has finally
cracked this case with his new book, Crossing the Rubicon, which exposes Cheney
and Bush as criminal terrorist conspirators.
Another outstanding example is the recently released documentary video,
Hijacking Catastrophe, a masterful exposé by 28
expert witnesses of the fascist New World Order that is currently being imposed
on us by the neocon conspirators within the Bush administration.
It is high time for We The People to wake up, face the truth, and reclaim our
sovereignty.

Dear Editor:
The purpose of this letter is to alert our Mount Shasta community to the
possibility that a worldwide economic collapse may occur during 2005.
I want to emphasize that my intention in writing this letter is not to arouse
fear but, on the contrary, to encourage our community to be prepared for such a
possibility so that, if it happens, we will not be caught unprepared, taken by
surprise, or overwhelmed with panic.
The combination of economic factors which indicate such a possibility are too
well known to require detailed discussion here.
Suffice it to say that expanding government, decreasing freedom, high taxes, low
morale, massive levels of personal and national debt, minuscule levels of
personal savings and federal reserves, rising levels of bankruptcy and
foreclosure, sinking levels of public confidence, increasing outsourcing of
industry, increasing levels of unemployment, increasing imbalance of
international trade, increasing federal dependence on foreign investors,
increasing Federal Reserve inflation of our money supply, increasing
inflationary depreciation of the dollar in relation to other currencies, and now
the imminent prospect of rising interest rates, which could wreak havoc in the
mortgage market, all add up to an ominous combination that we cannot afford to
ignore.
The appropriate response is to wake up, take responsibility, reclaim our power,
withdraw our consent, become financially liquid and mobile, eliminate personal
debt, cultivate self-sufficiency and cooperative community spirit, store
emergency supplies, and learn how to grow our own food by following the
inspiring example of enlightened people like Anna Edey, as exemplified by her
recent book, Solviva.
Let us always remember that how we experience the events in our lives is
determined, not so much by what happens, as by how we choose to respond to what
happens.
In this particular instance, the moral of my story is: Be prepared.

Dear Editor:
The American people have allowed their federal government to be hijacked and
transmogrified from a benevolent servant into a malevolent master by the
psychopathic global elite (beginning with the unconstitutional Federal Reserve
Act of 1913), and are now experiencing the disastrous consequences of that
failure to exercise their inherent sovereignty through the practice of constant
vigilance.
This is the painful truth which the vast majority of American citizens (who have
been systematically deceived, intimidated and brainwashed during the past
century) are not yet willing to face.
As a consequence, the American Dream is now rapidly turning into an insane
Alice-In-Wonderland nightmare.
What is it going to take to wake up We The People? During the next 12 months, we
are going to find out.
